I'm Mateja, and I'm happy you're here. Adeline came about from a very personal experience, from moments when hair stops being just aesthetics and becomes a matter of identity, self-confidence, and femininity.
I have lost my hair twice in my life. The first time due to alopecia, the second time as a result of chemotherapy. And even though I knew the loss was temporary, the feeling that came with it was deep and real—as if a part of me was being taken away.
Hair has always been an important part of my expression. That's why I cared deeply about the solution I wore. My first wig was made of natural hair and at the time it was the best on offer, but it didn't look natural enough. I started adapting it, researching and comparing what was available worldwide, and realized how much our market lacked a solution that was simultaneously realistic, comfortable, and dignified.
A few weeks after finishing my treatment, on Valentine's Day, I felt that something more had to come out of that experience.
